Sailing in the diffuse interphase between the reality and the fiction, is born the project Interactive Clothes. The idea is to approach the technological investigation on textiles and articles from an artistic-creative perspective. It is a multidisciplinary project, in which institutions of investigation, design and educative can participate. Interactive Clothes is a clothes collection that implies the use of technology in its preparation. Each article of the collection is designed to be part of a performance.

For the development of the project is necessary to investigate about diverse modalities and degrees of interaction and interactivity for articles. Some articles interact with their user, as a second conscience, that reproduces and elaborate processes of the body. Others interact with other people, through controls, or sensors. Another line of investigation is about how the surroundings and the environment can affect the state of the clothes. And more extreme still, there are article sets that interact to each other.

The investigation is about materials, weaves, mechanisms, never before attributed to the clothes preparation. The materials that can be used for the collection go from existing technology, that adapts to the creations, until developing technology, that acquires a direction as the artistic proposals, as it makes the culture of biological weave for the Bio-WEAR/second skin.

Objetives

To Research and develop new materials and fabrics.
To Use technology and design to create garment that interacts with the body, the environment and even other garment, with the aim of economical development of the disciplines involved.

Description

The Project consists in the making off a collection that uses technological materials. The technology involved is not the aim itself, but it is the way that allows the meanings communication.
